About Our Youth Program
Youth programs are available for school-age children. Activities include after-school sports leagues, art and music camps, field trips, cooking lessons, yoga, weekend events. We also include an 8-week summer camp during the months of June and July. You can read more about our youth activities in the section below.

Activities for Kids
After School Programs
School age children relax and play after school in our Jay Harbert Youth Center. Activities include social skills, games, arts & crafts, dance, field trips, music, cooking lessons, yoga, and more. Our After-school program runs from 3:00pm-5:30pm, Monday-Thursday. Monthly Tuition starts at $110. Transportation options available.
Activity Camps
Enroll in our activity-based camps throughout the fall and spring sessions. Camps take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for 6 weeks. Activities include: Sports Camp, Art Camp, Dance Camp, Youth and Young Adult Basketball Leagues and more.
Weekend Outings
Participants and their siblings are invited to join us for our weekend outings. We try something new for each event, such as dinner and a movie, Barons games, Stamford games, and more. Space is limited and signups are on a first-come, first-served basis. Cost varies for each activity.
School Holiday Camps
Out of school for President’s Day, Veterans Day or other school holidays? Join us at The Exceptional Foundation for a full-day of fun. Participants will take a field trip and enjoy games and activities in our Jay Harbert Youth Center.
Summer Camp
Each summer for 8 weeks more than 80 school-age participants spend their days at the Foundation enjoying all the after-school activities listed above as well as frequent swimming and carnival days. The Jay Harbert Youth Center is dedicated to programming specifically tailored for youth with special needs. Monday – Friday from 7:50am to 5:30pm. Full day and half-day registration available.
