About the Chili Cook-Off
In 2004, The Exceptional Foundation Junior Board launched the very first Chili Cook-Off, and it has grown over nearly two decades to become one of Birmingham’s most beloved fundraising events.
The Chili Cook-Off provides immense support for our programs for adults and youth with intellectual disabilities, thanks to the dedication of our cook teams and sponsoring organizations. With now close to 10,000 people in attendance at each Chili Cook-Off, we have a blast every year and are so grateful for the ways the community comes together to support our participants.
Save the date for the 20th Annual Chili Cook-Off on March 2, 2024! The family-friendly event will feature live music, kids activities, and all the chili you can eat.

With 137 cook teams and more than 11,500 ticketholders, the Birmingham community came through to raise over $450,000 to support for our adult and youth programs at The Exceptional Foundation.
